Q: How do I obtain a replacement part?

Q: How to register my product?

Go to the menu options at top of webpage and select from the support pull down menu. To register your products, go to our Product Registration Page, or download the Baby Trend app through your google play or in-app store.


Q: What Baby Trend products are under recall?

Information about product recalls or safety notifications visit our Safety Notices Page or contact our customer service at 1-800-328-7363 for additional help.


Q: What steps should I take if my Smart Steps by Baby Trend product is on a Safety Notice or Recall list?

If your product, Model Number and Manufacture Dates appear on the safety notice or recall list, discontinue use of the item immediately. DO NOT return item to store! Contact our Customer Service at 1-800-328-7363 for details about your notice or recalled item. Customer service will help guide you through the steps. Recall items required to return to Smart Steps by Baby Trend will be issued an Authorization number before returning your item. Recommend writing the Return Authorization Number obtained from customer service on the outside of your returning package.


Q: Where do I find my instruction manual?

Locate the support pull down menu options and click on the link for product instruction manuals. If unable to locate your manual contact customer service at 1-800-328-7363 for help.


Q: Shipping Policy

Products and replacement parts ship Ground Service for contiguous U.S. only (excluding Alaska and Hawaii).

We DO NOT ship to P.O. Boxes, APO, FPO or DPO addresses.

We DO NOT ship to international or U.S. Territory addresses.

Note: Express shipping services may require additional fees or may not be available for your location.


Q: Can I exchange or return an item I've purchased from SmartStepsBaby.com?

Yes, contact weborders@babytrend.com request and receive a Returns Authorization number (RA#). Products purchased from SmartStepsBaby.com and returned an authorization number will NOT be accepted. Please see our return policy for more details, Return Policy Page.


Q: How do I check on the status of my order?

Order confirmation will be sent right after order is placed. Please check your email inbox including Spam (Junk mail) folder. Email us at weborders@babytrend.com for order status. Please DO NOT place another order until you contact us about the status.


Q: How will my order be shipped?

Orders are typically shipped within 1-3 business days from our warehouse in California. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding federal and corporate holidays. Processing time depends on the shipping address and shipping method you choose. The shipping times are NOT guaranteed and may be affected by weather, errors on the part of the courier, etc.


Q: How do I cancel my order?

To cancel your order, please email us first at weborders@babytrend.com We will make every attempt to cancel your order. However, if the order has already shipped, we will be unable to cancel. You’ll need to follow the process for returns. See our return policy for more details, Return Policy Page.


Q: Do you ship outside the United States or to any APO or FPO address?

Currently we only ship within the contiguous United States ONLY excluding Alaska and Hawaii. See shipping policy.

Q: How do you install the support strap underneath the walker seat, if equipped?

Flip the walker over (bottom side up). Locate the safety strap and slide the strap through bottom of the seat strap. Locate the height adjustment under the walker tray. Find the slot near the seat and slide the strap though. The end of strap there is a metal D-ring. Slide the same strap through the open part of the metal D-Ring to create a secure loop. The strap is not intended for use as a harness do not place around the child.


Q: How to clean my Walker?

Do not machine wash seat fabric, use only mild household soap and warm water with a sponge or cloth to wipe clean. To clean wheels remove all debris and wipe with damp cloth, using mild soap and warm water. Do Not Use – bleach or other harmful chemicals to clean your item.


Q: How many levels of adjustments are on the walker?

Walkers have 3 adjustable heights levels located underneath the walker tray. Refer to your walker instruction manual to adjust as types may vary.


Q: When is my child ready to use the walker, is there a certain age?

Recommend using when your child can sit upright unassisted and has adequate neck strength to control movement of their head. Consult with your pediatrician if you have questions on your child’s development and use of walkers. Model types may vary, review your instruction manual for details.


Q: Does the walker fold for storage?

Yes, by releasing the height adjustment all the way down until walker is flat. When not use to be stored away. Refer to instruction manual or contact customer service for help at 1-800-328-7363.


Q: Does it work on carpet?

The walker is intended for use on flat surfaces allowing the child mobility. Plush carpet or similar may cause difficulty allowing the wheels to roll freely.


Q: When should I discontinue the use of the walker?

Discontinue use of the walker if the child attempts to climb out and could walk unassisted or has reaches 30 lb. or 32" in height. Model types may vary review your instructions details or contact customer service for additional help at 1-800-328-7363.


Q: What are the washing recommendations for the bouncer?

Machine wash with cold water, gentle cycle. No bleach. Tumble dry, low heat. Toys: Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry. Do not immerse in water. Plastic & metal frame Wipe the frame with damp cloth, using mild household soap and warm water.


Q: When should I discontinue the use of the bouncer?

Discontinue use of product when child can sit upright unassisted or reaches the max weight limit. Check your instruction manual for details.


Q: What type of batteries does the music box accept?

Use 2 “C” batteries.


Q: Could the bouncer be used on carpet?

Place the bouncer on level ground. Never use on any elevated or soft surface (i.e., bed, sofa and cushion), as seat may tip over or child’s activity may move product and cause suffocation. Always maintain supervision while child is in the product.
